Information about using CounselMatch’s independent directory and customer research tools.
Effective 2 November 2026
1. What CounselMatch provides
CounselMatch is an independent starting point for researching law firms with a Singapore presence. It provides a curated directory, information about published expertise, rule-based results and private research tools. CounselMatch is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Browsing, creating an account, saving a firm or receiving a result does not create a solicitor-client relationship, an engagement or a guarantee that a lawyer will accept your matter. Time-sensitive issues and deadlines require direct attention from an appropriate professional.
2. Listings and sources
Firm information is compiled from publicly available sources. Public availability does not mean information is licensed for unrestricted reuse. Quotations and other third-party material remain subject to the relevant rights. Inclusion is not a partnership, endorsement, paid placement or confirmation of current availability.
Sources may change and the directory is not the complete official register. Confirm registration and current practice scope through the relevant official sources and directly with the firm. Published people, links and practice details can become outdated.
Firm-size indicators use lawyer figures published by firms or counts from complete official lawyer directories, with geographic scope and source dates. Headcount does not establish fees or legal quality. Matching uses your selections and defined keywords; it is not a legal merits, quality or suitability assessment. Confirm conflicts, scope, fees, language, timing and any engagement directly with the firm.
3. Using the service responsibly
Keep your sign-in details private and provide only information you are entitled to provide. Avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive information about yourself or anyone else. Do not impersonate another person, attempt to access another workspace, defeat security or access controls, or use the service unlawfully.
Do not use automated collection in a way that exposes private data, bypasses limits, infringes others’ rights or disrupts the service. Necessary security restrictions may limit access where misuse or an operational incident is suspected.
4. External firms and future features
External firm websites and services operate independently. You decide whether to contact or engage a firm. Their own terms, privacy arrangements and professional responsibilities apply to that relationship.
The public firm platform is coming soon. No subscription payment, automated case referral, client-to-firm messaging or automatic engagement is currently offered through the discovery journey. A future service will need its own applicable notices, consent choices and terms.
5. Limits and your rights
The directory and results are research aids and may contain errors or become unavailable. We do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, uninterrupted access or a particular result. Keep your own copy of an enquiry brief you need long-term.
These notices do not exclude mandatory rights or obligations under Singapore law, including applicable personal-data protection duties. The Privacy Policy explains the handling of personal data and how to raise a concern. Singapore law applies to these service notices, subject to any mandatory law that applies to you.
